Strength After Breast Cancer
Based on “Strength ABC” program, this program is designed to teach breast cancer survivors that slow progressive weightlifting performed twice weekly can reduce the onset or worsening of breast cancer-related lymphedema. The 6-week class includes supervision and instruction with a certified lymphedema therapist, a group education session, and four group exercises sessions. Who is eligible? Any breast cancer survivor with or without lymphedema, except those with malignant cancer or have other medical co-morbidities that prevent them from participating in a resistance program. Please acquire a letter from your physician to participate.

Class is held in the Simonds-Hurd Complementary Care Center classroom.
There is no charge to participate thanks to funding by Bodylines Pilates Studio and their Pilates for Pink event.
